Length of time at CCNB: 8 months
Reason corpsmember was selected: Liberato has always been an outstanding corpsmember. He has never missed a day of work or school and possesses incredible personal integrity and willpower. He not only works very hard all the time, but this last month he brought an English book to read during break time. He embodies the CCNB idea of learning and bettering yourself.
Skills training received at CCNB: Sawyer I, II, Chipper operation, flood control, fire fuel reduction, trail maintenance, fence installation, invasive plant removal, working on his English.
Favorite project: Every project he’s worked on. That includes a trail maintenance project in Point Reyes, cutting fire breaks for private land owners and Marin County open space, invasive plant removal (cape ivy) for Golden Gate National Recreation Area, Installing split rail fence in Muir Woods, building a raised trail for Golden Gate, trail construction, and rock step construction for the Marin Municipal Water District.
Favorite educational component: Every Friday with his teachers.
Favorite aspect of working at CCNB: The people who work here and his fellow corpsmembers.
Future plans: To learn more English to use in his future jobs
