Reason corpsmember was selected: Omar has shown a major interest in bettering his life and other people’s lives, as well. He always jumps up to help out and teach others how to use tools. He does whatever it takes to get the job done. He has a 100% attendance record and his education is “great”. He takes direction well and his can-do attitude inspires other team members.

Skills training received at CCNB: Sawyer 2 and power tools. He is ready to take the California High School Exit Exam (CASHEE). Leadership skills.

Leadership roles at CCNB: Assistant Crew Leader, role model

Favorite project: Point Reyes trail, demolition with Natural Resources Manager Max Korten, Tires Out in Tomales, Horse Trail.

Favorite educational component: Math

Favorite aspect of working at CCNB: Working in unity with his team. It feels like family.

Future plans: To get a GED/diploma.
