October 2009 Corpsmember of the Month
Thomas Procter
Supervisor: David Frazier
Crew: Corps Respond Crew
Length of time at CCNB: 11.5 months
Reason corpsmember was selected: The Corps Respond crew as a whole has exhibited an exceptional attitude and work ethic this entire year. Tom is one of the key reasons for this in my eyes. Tom is above and beyond in his enthusiastic work level and assistance of fellow corps members, which is noted and commented on by the Sponsors on a regular basis. Tom not only likes to help his fellow members of Corps Respond, but he has also started a trend of helping other crews unload and put away tools at the end of their days, spreading this helpful attitude across all of Natural Resources Crew.
Skills training received at CCNB: Power tool use, project management, disaster operations, search and rescue, flood response, public speaking
Leadership roles at CCNB: Assistant Crew Leader
Favorite project: Back Country trip
Favorite educational component: Flood training
Favorite aspect of working at CCNB: The hardwork and service to America
